Off the Floor Pittsburgh is a local non-profit which, since 2004, has provided basic used furniture like beds, dressers, tables, and chairs to disadvantaged families who lack these items.

In October 2017, we were fortunate to feature in a story by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette!

Please also note the article in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Aug 6, 2012.

To meet  our goals in 2012, we need a continuous stream of kindly used furniture donations, volunteers to serve on teams to pickup and deliver the furniture, and cash contributions to cover costs of storage, truck rentals, and gasoline. Off the Floor Pittsburgh desperately needs new and gently used bed sheets, blankets, comforters and mattress pads in queen, full and twin sizes.  No king size, please.  Could you arrange for a linen drive in your church?  work place? community center?  athletic club?   Call 412 926-5053 to arrange for pick up of items donated.

We are looking for either individuals or a team of volunteers available during the week to participate in a furniture pick-up team.  We need willing volunteers, committed to service, who would be comfortable driving our truck, picking up donated furniture, and unloading it in our warehouse at 901 Allegheny Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, 15233.  Such teams allow us to increase the amount of used furniture we pick up and ultimately help us serve more families each year.  We anticipate a team assisting once a week, perhaps once or twice a month, or as volunteers are available, from March through DecemberSound interesting to you?  Please contact .

Donations of gently used furniture are always appreciated. Please fill out a Donation Form if you would like us to pick up your items. You can also help us by sharing our mission with friends, family, and neighbors who may be moving, remodeling or redecorating. Please, refer them to this website to submit a donation form.
